Celebrity BFFs Eva Longoria and Victoria Beckham were among those who were unable to snag tickets to the Vanity Fair bash last night (February 22) so they showed up at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscar party held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California.

With a $3500-dollar price tag per ticket, there was no sign of the current recession at the fundraiser which was celebrating its 17th year in dogooding.

Guests like Gerard Bulter, Carrie Underwood and Dita Von Teese enjoyed a cocktail reception and a five-course dinner while they watched the televised Oscars ceremony, followed by an auction and a performance by Sir Elton himself and R&B star Raphael Saadiq.

Sir Elton’s event raised over 5 million dollars last year and the legendary musician hoped this year’s would be as successful.

Celebrity attendees out to have a good time while raising money for a good cause included Chace Crawford, Sharon Stone, Eve, Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy.
