DANIEL CRAIG TURNS THE CAMERA

bond-new-set.jpg

On the set of his next ‘James Bond’ movie, Daniel Craig checks the shot in Siena, Italy, in a balcony window overlooking the Madonna dell’Assunta Palio di Siena traditional horse race.

A big tourist draw, the race pits 17 neighbourhoods against each other, with horses and their jockeys often tumbling during the action. Animal rights group have denounced the event as cruel to animals. Word is that Bond will chase a villain around during this wild race as part of a climactic scene in the film.

I’ve heard about this race and it really is awful! It’s not a very well moderated race and there is often serious injuries and even deaths with both the jockeys and the horses. Awful! There’s nothing worse than when you see a poor horse put down on the race track.

Watching animals get killed in front of you? That sounds like a nice family day out(!)
Is Daniel Craig hot or not? I can’t decide….

Stephi & Supersonic- worse are the bullfights (corrida de toros) in Spain :o(. Can you imagine? Six bulls run every day for either 7 or 8 days– that’s a total of 42-48 bulls killed for the festival. Then there are smaller festivals in September in different towns/cities in the Navarre region, each with the same tradition of bullfighting.
