Our thoughts on Amanda Bynes’ new clothing line?
The ‘Hairspray’ star-turned-designer unveiled the ultra affordable collection - called “dear” - today at the Steve & Barry’s store in New York City. The same place where you can find Sarah Jessica Parker’s thrifty threads.
The idea behind Amanda’s line is casual, fun items that Amanda says are made “for girls to hold ‘dear’ for years to come.”
Our thoughts?

I don’t like the clothes at all!
August 16th, 2007 at 1:36 pm
no worse and no better than bitten - neither line should exist

I can buy stuff like that at any other clothing store. What’s so special about them? Even H&M has better stuff than that

once again…….ENOUGH of the celeb fragrances/cosmetics/clothing lines!
STOP!!!!!!!

I love the clothes. They’re amazing. You may find some of these clothings at other stores, but for the same prices(Very, very few stores…Only 20 dollars and under) I give Amanda kudos in her next venture, it’s stylish and affordable. What’s wrong with celbe lines/fragrances? The suppliers and stores are making money. It boosts the economy. If you were famous, wouldn’t you do the same?

Meh… Forever 21 & H&M does it better.

Hated It!

Those clothes are ugly. Sorry but they are.

The clothes are so bland. Something you can see in any store in a mall in middle-america.. seriously, when are these celebrities going to stop, please just stop. Leave the designing to the greats in europe or the up-and-coming designers that go to Parsons. The cheap disposable clothing mentality is so awful and thats what celebrity lines are. Awful!

They are cheap for a reason. They will fall apart after three washings IF you’re lucky. I’d rather pay more money at mid priced stores for shit that will last me. But then again, all of these cheapy clothes are super trendy, so I guess it just depends on how you want to spend your money.

August 16th, 2007 at 4:15 pm
SHITTY, forever 21 even better
August 16th, 2007 at 4:33 pm
LOL LOL LOL LOL I doubt anyone will be wearing this crap.
August 16th, 2007 at 4:34 pm
They are for kids. Good for the 12 to 14 crowd.
August 16th, 2007 at 4:47 pm
There is nothing new or original about her clothing. H&M is way better…these are more like Forever 21 and seem to scream 14 year old fashion clone. But I guess those sort of girls are the ones that are fans of Amanda so she had to kind of focus it their way. I’m sure she will do well with this line but she really shouldn’t. Disappointed.

H&M OWNS affordable but chic clothes for young women and girls and their stuff isn’t patronisingly twee its actually stylish.
What I do love about this post is the title…’Dear Clothing’. Like its a love letter to clothes or something….cute.

Nothing that great, I agree, you could find all that stuff anywhere…and probably cheaper and with better material too.
I feel sorry for the people who get paid like 2 cents an hour to make this shit.

I don’t think these clothes r all that special either but they r nice, and simple… i would buy them cuz of the prices. I really don’t shop for EXPENSIVE or DESIGNER clothing, who gives? Clothes are clothes. I still mix and match and look stylish and cute. =D Some designer clothes look really dull and doesn’t look too stylish.. i.e Burberry, so Haley, no one gives a damn if u r rich, it’s all about knowing HOW to spend ur money.
