New mom Naomi Watts won’t let a little Los Angeles rain dampen her efforts of getting back into her pre-pregnancy fighting form. The actress bundled up and hit the streets of Brentwood, CA with a friend for a jog in between a rainy downpour this morning (February 17).
Meanwhile, in a new interview, the 40-year-old actress opens up about some of the realities of motherhood. “Well, I know everyone goes through monumental sleep deprivation, but you can never prepare for that,” Naomi says of her newfound irregular sleep patterns. “It’s brutal.”
As for breastfeeding? “I call it a lactose lobotomy,” she professes. “I feel like I have lost half of my brain and I don’t know when it’s coming back. Actually, it was halved and then halved again.”
And it’s more honesty served up when Naomi is asked about the juggling act that is being a working mom. “I think it’s going to be an endless struggle,” Miss Watts admits. “Family is something that will always be put first, but I’m someone who doesn’t want to give up my work, because I love what I do.”
In a celeb mom world of publicist-written answers to pre-approved questions, we’re absolutely loving Naomi’s truthfully candid nature!
