They’ve had a famously tumultuous relationship but cooler heads prevailed today (February 16) as Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly Buffington enjoyed lunch with their son Thomas at Cafe Montana in Santa Monica, CA.
While it’s all smiles today, the couple looked on the brink of divorce during a family vacation in Florence, Italy last summer. Then months later, the 54-year-old actor had heads turning when he showed up solo late last year in Las Vegas to party with bevy of women looking very, very, very drunk.
Nice to see that Dennis’ old lady let bygones be bygyones. Yet again.

Dennis is an alcoholic. She must love him very much to stick with him thus far. Only love will do it. Don’t say money because I’m sure she’d get plenty if she left him. Sad to say that if he’s still drinking, she and the kids would be better off without him.
It is fun isn’t to say all this stuff … While everyone knows last year he was suffering almost losing his
twin children. OH did you forget that!! He was not drunk . Can not believe this when he was suffering
and the lawsuit took up most of last year. So tell me when did he have time to get drunk with his
pregnant wife last year. They spent last year together, and it is hard to imagine him doing that when
his family is in trouble. He is not drunk … Maybe that is the problem with Rihanna. But not him. So
go after someone else. Why bother suing the hospital and the drug company that took up the rest
of the year to get through. Great isn’t it take an person who has not done anything since last year.

His wife is clearly committed to that marriage and those babies. She seems like a good person. Dennis seems like a good dad with a few bad habits from being a long time celeb, but those habits can be very, very annoying. I’ve been married to an actor for years. He doesn’t work hardly at all anymore but people still like standing next to him.
his wife did not have those babies, they hired a surrogate. why do you assume it has to be LOVE keeping her in the marriage and not to say it’s the money? ever heard of a pre-nup? since he has a son from a previous marriage i’d guess he had her sign one before he would marry her.

Dennis is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict himself, so don’t be talking about Heath Ledger. He was a cocaine addict & had to go to rehab & get clean before Meg Ryan would agree to marry him. Obviously, he is off the wagon as far as the drinking goes. I’ve seen him drunk many times in Austin…as recently as last year. Also, he & his wife were not tied up in lawsuits for all of last year. In fact, Dennis was working most all of last year and the fight he and his wife had in Italy happened right after he wrapped up a film in Germany in August. And everyone here in Austin knows he’s a cheater. Why Kim stays with him is beyond me….and no, she isn’t all that nice either. I’ve had dealings with her on a professional basis.
Yeah what happened to their babies was terrible. But that does not give him the right to behave like a drunken cheater. You’d think he would have learned from what happened, but he didn’t. Still drinks, still cheats, still hasn’t gotten over his previous marriage. Kimberly, do yourself and your kids a fav. and leave him! You dont need his money or fame!
Oh please, so this jerk is supposed to get off the hook for all his cheating & drinking because of what happend to his babies over a year ago? That doesn’t give anyone the right to this kind of behavior. Dennis has done this all of his adult life & will never change. No kudos to his wife either, she knew she was marrying a drunk and cheat when she married him.
She clearly stays with him because she loves him. They don’t have a prenup and if she knew for a fact that he was cheating on her she would leave him. She also had no idea about his cheating ways before she married him and anyone that has ever spent time with them can see how in love they are.
Forgot to mention that she HAS been pregnant many, many times and it has been reported numerous times, so get your facts straight.
