One week after the story broke, Chris Brown has released a statement regarding allegations he beat Rihanna.
“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired,” says the R&B crooner. “I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writing under my name are frauds.”
All is forgiven? Or was the statement more self-serving than remorseful?

#1 you are delusional. Her father said that she is bruised but he didn’t say where. However, there are credible reports that the police took pictures of Rihanna and that the pictures are terrible, So you can choose to stick by a woman beater all you want but don’t get mad because other people choose to believe that he should be punished for his actions. And if he didn’t do anything wrong then what is is half assed apology about? If he didn’t do anything wrong then it wouldn’t have taken him a week to issue that sorry ass apology, and if he didn’t do anything wrong then his family wouldn’t have felt the need to go in front of any and every available camera and admit that he hit her but “he must have been provoked.” And yes Miss Janet, the hypocrisy of this idiot to drag God into a discussion about him beating a woman is beyond despicable and is nothing more than an attempt at damage control. Gotta love these people who still say he did nothing. If he did nothing the police wouldn’t have mentioned injuries in the police report. They wouldn’t have to take pictures of her injuries as evidence and Rhianna wouldn’t have had to go to the hospital if there were no injuries.

By that statement, it is tantamount to admitting guilt. He seemed contrite, but didn’t say anything nice about Rihanna. I certainly will not be buying any CB music/products EVER in the future. Not pressing charges–the police have released statements saying that he hit her, and bit her….just because he didn’t mention that, doesn’t lessen the fact that he did it. Grow the fuck up. Unless you are an actual victim of domestic violence, you have no idea what is going on with anyone, much less this couple. No one deserves to get beat up by anyone so shut your fucking mouth until you know what the hell you are talking about.

After this all dies down I hope this guy just kind of fades away and we never hear from him again–I would like for this to happen right after some one beats the crap out of this jerk for doing something like that to her…..
NOT PRESSING CHARGES - they charged him with making threats because it carries a longer sentence. The police have also said that other charges (ie domestic violence) can always be added by the DA. So just because he wasn’t charged for violence right now doesn’t mean it will not happen, especially if there are pictures of her after it happened.
Oh and from reports, apparently she is co-operating. Whether that is true or not it really doesn’t matter if SHE presses charges or not, the DA can still charge him without her help.

Well that was all just a big load of shit. That little statement has no doubt been carefully written by lawyers etc who are dealing with what’s left of his career right now and it really reveals nothing. Of course God was brought into it, and the fact that he is taking steps in helping himself but there is no sign of remorse there or an apology to the victim. I’m sure this is going to go on for a lot longer now…it will be a case of he said/she said in no time. It will get ugly.
I find it hard to believe that anyone could support Chris Brown (woman beater), and abuse Rihanna (young girl who has been beaten up). There are some pretty sick people out there.
Regular people do not make statement, they get charge under the law or beaten up by the abuse’s family members. Only celebrities issue statements through the press. It’s call protecting their financial reputation.
People are human and make mistakes! There is more to the story on rihannas side because I find it hard to believe he just spazed out on her. As a young woman in a committed relationship I can say that women try to push buttons and test the waters with there boyfriends on purpose cause we know as soon as they hit us then there the bad guy even though we provoked them.. I honestly believe chris was provoked! It doesn’t make it right to hit her but we as women learn those things that make men tick so we can use it . A man is going to be a man and can only be pushed so far and nobody knows if rihanna put her hands on him first! I’ve met chris and I think he is a nice guy who got caught up with the wrong female. Im still going to support him in his career and i hope people start taking a good look at the situation instead of judging it.
