Despite reports that soulstress Amy Winehouse is in a U.S. rehab facility, her reps say she’s “resting under doctor’s orders” and is still expected to show at this weekend’s V Festival in Chelmsford and Staffordshire, England. She is still listed as being on the Stage 4 line-up.
As for the much reported rehab story based on Amy’s alleged dependence on crack and heroin? You can blame the overzealousness of the British media for that one.

I’m a selfish woman, so I just want her to keep making music. Her voice fascinates me. I’d LIKE for her to be physically and emotionally healthy and happy, but that might not be what SHE wants. And if she’s not capable of getting her ducks in a row to function on a non-chemically-modified plane of reality, well, that’s her damage. Let’s just hope she cranks out a few more albums soon.
