Tweens from across the nation are texting, blogging and chatting about Friday’s eagerly anticipated sequel, pondering whether it will be as totally awesome as the original.
In the meantime, the stars of ‘High School Musical 2′ gathered at Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA yesterday for the premiere of the second installment of their hit franchise.
Cutie patooties Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, a.k.a. the Disney Prince and Disney Princess, arrived flirting it up while promoting the much anticipated sequel. Zac was wearing a new mystery rainbow-coloured bracelet — perhaps made by the same “special friend” who made his red one for him. Vanessa wore a stunning red floor-grazing gown.
Budding young starlet Ashley Tisdale, meanwhile, told reporters, “I mean this is really crazy. It’s absolutely surreal. The fans are amazing. They really are. We did the first movie we never thought it was gonna be this huge.”

Am I the only one who hated the original High School Musical? I finally sat down and watched it all the way through and I didn’t like anything about it! My daughters love it, sing the songs, watch it over and over and I think its just pure crap! I would rather have my fingernails pulled out then watch #2.
^I have wondered if this show or whatever it is lived up to all the hype. My kids are only 6 and 4 so I have not had the “pleasure” of watching it yet but I am sure someday I will.
I still don’t know who this Zac Efron person is. How did he get ‘famous’ again?

bejeebus… too funny. i’m not into little boys, but i think zac efron is the cutest thing ever! and the boy can dance. if he’s gay, oh well. i thought he was going out with the brunette co-star. she’s cuteness too.
HSM is so blah… but the choreography is entertaining. i couldn’t believe it when my husband told me how the CD went multi platinum and stuff. unbelievable.
Zac is such a lollipop boy. Teeny tiny body, giant head. Looks like a pre-bloat Clay Aiken, if Clay were pretty.

Why on earth does a white girl sans pantyhose have such dark legs? Ease up on the Mystic Tan, blondie. Also, how old is she? She’s tarted up like a contender at the AVN awards.
I don’t really know anything about this movie or its stars but I’m pretty sure they knew it was gonna be a success. Most of Disney’s projects are pimped to the max and its very rare for them to have a flop. I think the blonde girl is a Paris Hilton wannabe and the guy looks like a Ken doll, plastic and all! I have to say I love Downtown Disney though…there is this bar in the middle of the area…can’t remember what its called….but its awesome!! Best pasta!
Ugh i could not stand high school musical either barks. I do not understand how it is so popular!! That being said Zac is a cutie but gay as blazes. And it has to be pretty strong gay for me to pick it up! Good on him for wearing the rainbow.
