Snapped by photograhper extradonaire Annie Leibovitz, the wife of the forty-fourth President of the United States looks demure in a magenta silk dress by inaugural gown designer Jason Wu.
Chatting with Andre Leon Talley, Michelle tells the mag that her current focus is settling in Washington, D.C., trying to find a church and helping her daughters Malia and Sasha get adjusted.
“I’m going to try to take them to school every morning — as much as I can,” she says. “But there’s also a measure of independence. And obviously there will be times I won’t be able to drop them off at all. I like to be a presence in my kids’ school. I want to know the teacher; I want to know the other parents.”

Love her.
Her face looks fucking horrible on the cover. I’m sure they had better to choose from, sorry but this is a horrible cover.
The First Lady we’ve been waiting for?? I don’t think so.
not a horrible cover at all
just shows you how fugly she is.
cuz she is
Classy lady.
LOVE IT
She’s not ugly. She just isn’t a model or a celebrity. However, I do agree that a better photo should have been used.
I don’t think she is a very pretty lady, but she has nice arms….
I like her.
ms. wintour should definately have picked a better photo for the cover. michelle isn’t a great beauty but she certainly is attractive and elegant.
She is not very attractive, so an outdoor picture would it worked better. I don’t like her eyebrows and the hair needs an update, maybe some color, something, being too plain is not good.
I’m going to buy this issue. I can’t remember the last time I got a Vogue. But I’m going to get this one.
She is breathtaking…ly hideous. That mouth alone is enough to haunt my dreams for the next 4-8 years. Because being taxed out my ass was not enough.
So glad I ended my Vogue subscription!
JEssicaaaa be nice! lol
Michelle Obama is a lovely, sensitive and intelligent woman. We are lucky to have her as our First Lady. I fear that those in the world at large will see more of that in her than many Americans if these terrible comments are any indication. Also, I wonder how many of you out there would look as good in that fushia colored dress.
