2009 GRAMMY AWARDS: ARRIVALS

Chris Martin, Will Champion, Guy Berryman and Jonny Buckland of Colplay were big winners at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s hubby and his band not only took home the trophy for Best Song for their hit Viva La Vida but they also won in the Best Rock Album category.

Coldplay beat out the likes of Kid Rock, Kings of Leon, Metallica and The Raconteurs for the honour.

Well deserved or way too much hype?

They just make the type of music that Grammys love. Who is the judge of art really?

They look like a bunch of dickheads trying way too hard. Leave the Sargeant Pepper’s look to the Beatles. I used to love their music but I think they have believed their own hype and their music just all sounds the same now. They didn’t deserve to win, especially not for this song, seeing as there are allegations they stole it from someone else.

Completely agree with Stephi…this band is so much overrated.

Their music is a little on the safe side for me. I wanted Kings Of Leon to win…
