Clad in a $5000 Chanel robe, indie queen Chloe Sevign disses rehabbing stars Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

The actress plays a “starlet sent to a luxury rehab facility” in the special feature on the “rehab trend” - and she poses with a hat and sunglasses, water bottle and dog, reading about herself in newspaper Troubled Times.

HB also points out that “September is National Recovery Month.”

Needless to say, there are many recovering celebrities to “celebrate” the season.

    that’s funny and sad. Not sure how I feel about thisone….I feel more pity for Lindsay than anything else, ANYONE who grew up with those parents of hers would have the same issues or worse. Now Britney - she can be made fun of till the cows come home, cuz she’s bringing all her issues on herself. She really needs some psychotherapy.

    i’m not sure why she did this in the first place? making fun of anyone who is in rehab or who is at least trying to change for good is bad. they get joked about enough when they do bad things do they really need to get joked about when they try to do good for themselves?

    Acting in Brown Bunny doesn’t mean she’s the same level as Lindsay Lohan, geez you’re so fecking mainstream.
    I think it was funny but it was in bad taste. Its a darker twisted humour and that would obviously not be to everyone’s liking but it doesn’t mean she’s judging anyone, she’s just trying to be funny and obviously that doesn’t come across to all and it doesn’t have to. Get over it.
    She looks fierce though.

    Also, its not like a rehab isn’t being used as some sort of freaky celeb trend, there are far less celebs taking it seriously than you think. They use rehab like its some sort of magic cure for everything or as a way to cover up a couple of nights drinking. Some people abuse it and I think people know who they are…

    These Indie film chics think that they are so cerebral, please, she should keep her mouth shut, after all Vincent Gallo was all in it. That man is a total psycho and she fell for his line about art. Kirsten Dunst had the smarts to stay away from the Brown Bunny.

    Loves it -FUCK THOSE SPOILED BRATS who refuse to get their lives together while they damn near ruin other people’s lives (Lindsey by drinking and driving and Britney by having babies and subjecting them to her addiction and stupidity). While the rest of hollywood is busy kissing their asses and pussyfooting around the REAL issue (which is that celebrity rehab IS A JOKE and sends and awful message to people with real addictions), at leas Cloe has some balls to say what most intelligent people already know (and a sense of humor) which is that these young, rich hollywood whores are a joke.

    The girl sucked a di*k on film and called it art, hahahhaha. There is nothing artistic about juggling balls on your chin. Give it a break. She is not that pretty and really not that talented. Frankly she looks like she has done her fair share of drugs and I believe she has spoke about it in interviews. She is just trying to keep her face in the mags like everyone else.

    I think the editorial is clever and slightlty amusing, but I have a couple of problems with it. First of all Chloe is definately NOT the right person for this shoot! She has not had the perfect past and she just looks like a little hypocrite making fun of them like this. And that’s my second problem. I don’t really think its that great an idea to poke fun at girls who have serious substance abuse/alcohol problems. I know people make light of it but it is a serious issue and it’s not that great to make it all seem like a fashion show in such a prominent magazine.

    ^Interesting point stephi (in that she’s being hypocritical - which may well be true). Maybe if the layout were better (in that the photos had more to say than the OBVIOUS - she would have pulled it off). I think that if she had poked fun at HERSELF as well (her brown bunny days, fashion icon status, etc.) then it may have worked better. Overall, though, I don’t have a problem with her or anyone making fun of Hollywood losers (I think most intelligent people can categorize the problems of REAL people who work hard for a living and fall on bad luck and addiction with the spoiled, self-centered, “gee i have all this money and nothing else better to do” hollywood stars who fall into addiction).

    ^ One little line from me and it has you up in arms. Please. I know I didn’t bother to expand on anything in my post, but basically I just wanted to make a point about the hypocrisy in Chloe’s actions. I found the pictorial a bit funny, but also sad and cynical. I’ve never once defended Lindsay’s actions, I’ve bashed her for squandering all her opportunities and not appreciating them– but what starr and Stephi have pointed out is that there’s more to the picture than a spoiled girl who parties excessively. Lindsay has terrible parents and was made to grow up too fast (ala the child star syndrome– either their career ends or they fall into some kind of addiction). It’s not an excuse for her actions and addictions, but it is what it is. Addiction is terrible. And to echo my2cents– sorry, I don’t think sucking dick on film is art. I saw the movie and didn’t like it, and it has nothing to do with being so “fecking mainstream”.
