Beep beep! Outta the way — beauty comin’ through!
She may have over seven movies opening up in 2007, but that won’t stop Jessica Alba from chruning out some more mediocre movies best suited for your untouched DVD collection.
Photogs caught up with the second-rate actress on the L.A. set of her latest sure-to-be snoozer, ‘The Eye.’ In the remake of an earlier Chinese film of the same name, Jessica plays a 20-year-old blind violinist (where do they come up with these things?) whose vision is restored following a risky corneal transplant operation.
But not everything is as it seems — mysterious black-clad figures seem to foreshadow sudden deaths. Jessica’s character comes to understand that whenever she looks into a mirror, she doesn’t see herself but instead sees another woman — the original owner of the corneas!
Oscar-winner Renée Zellweger was originally slated to play the lead, but after reading the plot, I think I have a good idea on why she opted out.

Sorry but The Eye is actually quite good in its ORIGINAL state and there was a lot less focus on looks and more on acting but I see its the opposite here. I don’t remember the character being so glamourous (I can’t spell I’m an eejit, I know). The character was traumatised after her accident and was sort of shy and quiet and understandably edgy.
I don’t think Jessica has the range to play a set of spoons in a dark drawer let alone this.

What the hell!! Sounds like a very random movie….which is probably why Jessica got stuck with the lead I guess. She really isn’t a very good actress and when her looks fade, which I think they are already, she will be out of Hollywood in two seconds flat. I really do like her dress here though, but after seeing her in interviews and her true personality….I don’t find her that hot anymore.

the chinese movie is sooooo scary!!!!!
i saw the chinese version of ‘the eye’ and liked it to my surprise. the production was kind of b-movie-ish and the acting wasn’t phenomenal, but the overall storyline was good. and it wasn’t scary at all… haha… unless we’re talking about a different movie.
SHe looks pretty good in Purple.I saw the original as well and erm..she cdnt have chosen a worse movie if she wanted people to give her credit as an actress.
I’m sorry coco, but damn have you ever heard the bitch speak? She is the dumbest person on the planet who thinks they are super smart. And she totally has that vibe of being superior to others.
