THE CAST OF ‘UGLY BETTY’ WAGE ON

Becki Newton and Michael Urie aren’t letting news that Ugly Betty is being temporarily taken off the air in March by ABC affect their motivation.

The young actors were up early this morning (February 4) to film a scene for their award-winning comedy in Brooklyn Heights, NY.

Come next month, Ugly Betty will be shelved to make way for the return of Christina Applegate’s Samantha Who? and for the launch a new comedy called In the Motherhood, starring Megan Mullally and Cheryl Hines.

As for what we can expect from the remaining few episodes of Ugly Betty? Said show star America Ferrera at the recent SAG Awards: “Someone turns very evil — an unexpected person. Like, just your general back-stabbing and lies. Just another day on Ugly Betty!”

I think this show really sucks. The way that it’s filmed and everything and the ridiculous storyline seems like its filmed on a really low budget. It’s also a complete rip off of The Devil Wears Prada, the whole concept. Lame! I’m surprised it wasn’t taken off way sooner! It’s like something you would expect to watch on the Disney channel. After Ugly Betty I can’t see America Ferrara sticking around for long.
