The bearded actor has likely returned to his customary homeless chic look due to the reception received by his latest film, the sci-fi remake The Day The Earth Stood Still.
And while Keanu’s acting skills are often criticized, it’s his facial hair that’s getting the thumbs down today. The 44-year-old star has come in third in a list of “The Top 5 Worst Celebrity Beards.”
When most people associate the word “awful†with Keanu Reeves, it’s usually describing his acting (cough, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, cough, Point Break, cough, Speed, cough, cough). But there’s a new sheriff in town taking over the role of “awful†in Keanu’s life. It’s called his beard. Don’t get us wrong - when the guy is clean shaven, he’s a stud. It just looks like patches of his face got into a nasty fight with a bottle of Nair, and the Nair won.
As for who beat out Keanu for the top prize? Daniel Radcliffe and actor-turned-rapper Joaquin Phoenix.

Keanu Reeves is an exceptionally gifted actor. However, if you prefer the Three Stooges School of Acting, you may not enjoy his sensitive and understated performances. If he’s how you define “wooden”, then…..give me the whole freakin’ forest!
