The Los Angeles premiere of eco-flick ‘The 11th Hour’ was especially meaningful for Leonardo DiCaprio. In addition to starring in the documentary, the Oscar-nominated actor also narrates it, produced it and came up with the original concept.
But all of Leo’s efforts were not in vain — a slew of his actor pals treaded the green carpet last night to show some star support. Looking elegant in an off-the-shoulder gown, a solo Kate Bosworth was on hand to catch the two-hour about problems facing the planet and how people can make a difference.
Other environmentally aware A-listers showing support included ‘Spider-Man’ star Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer and ‘Ugly Betty’’s Eric Mabius and wife Ivy Sherman.

the only way this level of hypocrisy could be matched is if mike moore started lecturing us about healthy eating and the need for excercise.
these jagoffs are the main violators of alleged carbon abuses…by a thousand fold.
look, this issue can be a unifying one if the topics regarding global warming were:
pollution; stop dirtying our water and our precious air
economic; eventually, china and india are going to invent a new fuel which will set the market. we should beat them to it or face the repercussions of paying for their awesome inventions.
safety; we should stop funding two sides of our wars.
boy scout rule; leave it better than we found it.

hooray! i can’t wait to see this movie…now let’s read what Bill O’Reilly in Training adam has to say..

huh, i can barely believe it, i actually agree with just about every statement adam made, save one!

pop locky droppy.

Adam thanks for stealing my thoughts! You’re exactly right, there’s a lot of hypocrisy about this, especially since they seem to encourage less developed nations to take part in all of this despite the fact that they cannot afford to be trying out new schemes. If anyone wants to make a change they should look a lot closer to home.
Anywya….Leo, I love him and he’s hot, but he should consider getting his eight hours a night once in a while and watching that waist line.

Leo is a first league actor, along the lines of DeNiro and Hopkins. He is incredible and I love watching every movie he is involved with.

no doubt…can’t think of a movie of his that i really didn’t appreciate.
doesn’t mean i approve of his eco-hypocricies or his blatant and duplicitous fear mongering.

Doesn’t Leo fly commercial “whenever he can”?
Thank you, Adam!
August 9th, 2007 at 3:14 pm
oh no, adam’s going to be disappointed people aren’t arguing with him!

I think this is great!! Leo has always been environmentally friendly and he actually seems to know his stuff when it comes to being green, not like a lot of celebs who just seem to be in it to be trendy. I hope people take notice of this film and learn how to do their part in saving one thing that we all have in common- the world. Ahhhh how corny did that sound, I should be his publicist!

Leo and Kate Bosworth would make a cute couple.
