They were also very helpful to a neighbour in need yesterday (January 24). When the comedian couple realized their friend was in distress near their Los Angeles home, they rushed to her side, assisted in any way they could and stayed there until the paramedics loaded her into the awaiting ambulance.
There are plenty of Hollywood charity fundraisers and even more star photo-ops in impoverished nations but this is what celebrity humanitarianism is all about!

I think they did what most people in the same situation would do and that’s wonderful, but I don’t get the dismissal of humanitarian/charitable work here and abroad. Is it necessary to measure which one is more heroic or can we just say that people do good for a variety of reasons and congratulate everyone who does something to make the world better?
