Competing in the slower GT class, the Grey’s Anatomy hunk co-drove a Mazda RX-8 in the 24-hour endurance event with four other drivers, none of them anywhere near as well known.
Patrick combined his love of racing with another of his favourite activities — raising money for fighting breast cancer. He racing efforts raised money for the Avon Foundation’s Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
The actor’s mother is a breast cancer survivor.

he was the big draw? are you fucking kidding me? the people there are RACE fans. i’m sure he had some 40+ year old housewives cheering him on, but he was HARDLY the big draw. jimmie johnson, danica patrick, john andretti, ricky carmichael, helio castoneves, a.j. foyt, dario franchitti, max papis, boris said, scott russell…..THOSE are the drivers that are drawing the crowds!!
Patrick Dempsey’s mother is an ovarian cancer survivor, not a breast cancer survivor like your blurb under the picture says.
