ANGELINA JOLIE REACTS TO OSCAR NOMINATION

Changeling star Angelina Jolie has issued a statement on her Oscar nomination.
“Working with Clint Eastwood was a reward in itself that will last me a lifetime. To receive a nomination from the Academy on top of that is a privilege beyond any expectation. It has been an exceptional year for acting, and I am honored to be in the company of these talented actors whose performances all deserve this recognition. I am also happy that Kung Fu Panda was noticed by the Academy and proud to be a part of a film my entire family loves so much.”

Very gracious considering she doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning!

Oh Arasto, no need to be snarky. She’s already has an Oscar and she has Brad. I think she’s a winner already.

Angie should win…she became Christine Collins.
    but…getting a nom is beautiful.
congrats to both Angie & Brad.

I predict Winslet will win…she has been networking like crazy.
Plus, a Holocust film always wins.

She already has an Oscar and 21 other awards she’s won over the years. Don’t think she really cares. lol

Kate Winslet will definitely win I think. I don’t like the way Angie acted at the Golden Globes, she came off like a bitch. I used to really like her but she is annoying recently.

Angie was great as Christine Collins in Changeling, but I feel this is Kate Winslet’s year. She gave two outstanding performances in The Reader and Revolutionary Road (which I thought were great films) and she is long overdue for an Oscar.

Angie is a great actress. Her great acting has been reserved for her public life, rather than her movies.

Kate will win and forget Angie’s name (again) when she accepts her award. That, alone, will be worth watching.

Why must this site always be so damn cynical and pessimistic of everything. That quote was perfect until I read the pointless statement you decided to post after it.

Wow, someone’s pissed she even got nominated! Go cry in a corner already, instead of trying to sound clever when it’s obvious you aren’t!

That being said, the Academy seems to be in love with Kate, and Kate has certainly been pimping herself hard, so I think it’ll probably be her.

She already has an Oscar so I’m sure it’s not do or die for her. I would like to see her win because I think she’s a very good actress, who kind of doesn’t get appreciated as much anymore because of her place in the tabloids. Brad is the same, because he’s such a good looking guy I don’t think his acting as always been taken seriously. He definately deserves something for Benjamin Button! I don’t get the hate for Angelina at all, how can this statement be interpreted as pissed off? She sounds genuinely gracious and happy to be nominated.

I’d rather she not win. I like these two, but have not been very inspired by their film choices of late. Kate Winslet has never faltered in choice or performance. The woman can do no wrong! It’s awe-inspiring. Brad, Ange - maybe next time. I am shocked by Leo’s absence, though.

I actually agree with you on this one Arasto. I’m honestly surprised she was nominated not that I don’t think she deserves it, but I think this is Kate’s year,

Brad on the otherhand I hope wins, but if he doesnt I’m rooting for Micky Rourke. He’s so good in the Wrestler to the point you don’t know when he ends and the character begins.

#15 anon1……..TCCBB is a movie Brad and Fincher have wanted to do for over 8yrs and had to wait for the technology to catch up. It was not a tossaway choice. Eastwood picked Angie for the role not the other way around and as an actor, I just don’t think I’d turn an opportunity to work with Eastwood down. Leo was good, but he and the movie have been overrated. I’ve seen it 2 times and it’s one of the most depressing and unhappy movies I’ve ever seen, and depressing and unhappy storytelling can be great, but this wasnt. JMHO (as yours is yours)

This enables you to profit (or lose) from very small changes in an Oscar. In his acting there will always be bullish and bearish market patterns. 21 other awards is an honorable and totally legitimate way of becoming financially free in a relatively short time if you educate yourself in how to trade wisely.
