BRAD PITT REACTS TO OSCAR NOMINATION

Brad Pitt was in Paris today when he got the news of his Benjamin Button Oscar nomination.

Here is the Academy Award nominee arriving for a photocall at the Georges V Hotel.

He issued a statement:

“This is a great honor for the movie, and I’m especially happy for David Fincher, for without him there would be no Ben Button.”

I’m rooting for you and Fincher! I think Kate Winslet should win best actress but I’m going with Brad, and if he doesn’t get it I hope it’s Micky Rourke.

Clicked to early. I have a feeling TCCBB will be shut out of the major cats, but will win in the tech cats. I really think Brad is deserving of the BA and Fincher is so absolutely deserving, but if history is any teachers, movies that have had the most nom;s have generally walked away with but one or two. Slumdog won’t win either. I think Milk-Sean Penn-Heath Ledger-Kate Winslet are the sureshots.

Bland Brad is never getting an Oscar for Best Actor. He’s not that talented.

Funny, I don’t really consider myself to be a Pitt fan, but some movies I have LOVED have featured him in lead roles…Ben Button, Legends of the Fall, Interview with a Vampire…

Brad did a wonderful job in this movie… why not give him a chance … since this is the best performance for
Brad.. To bad he didn’t win the Golden Globe.. when he was with Gwyneth Paltrow…Wasn’t that for Legend
of the Falls.. He deserves to win ..Sounds like he might not even go since he is talking about David and the
movie..Why bother .. watch it at home.. with the kids..

Laura - Brad did get a Golden Globe nom for Legends of the Fall in ‘94. But then won a year later for 12 Monkeys. He was with Paltrow during this time.

Sorry, the Legends of the Fall Golden Globe nomination came in ‘95, and his Golden Globe win for 12 Monkeys came in ‘96.

I think it was some of his best work in Ben Button. The movie was a little long at times but was very well done. David Fincher is an awesome director! There has only ever been one movie I’ve seen Brad in that I didn’t like and that was The Mexican with Julia Roberts….complete crap. Everything else I have thought he was incredible. I think if people knew less about his personal life there would be no bitchy comments about him not deserving it.

I do not think that he is going to win an oscar. He is such a stupid actor. Really, he is not talented. Hope, that Micky Rourke is getting an oscar for best actor. He is an actor. Brad is (since he is engaged to Angelina) only a stupid little boy. Sorry boy, but you lost control over yourself.
