BRANGELINA’S NEW DIGS

Check out some general views of the 48-acre waterfront estate named Sassafras in the Lloyd Neck harbor region of Long Island’s North Shore.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will be renting the property through mid-summer while Angelina shoots her next film Edwin A. Salt.

The main house is 22 000 square feet, and the Tudor-inspired property boasts two helipads, a private dock, and an 11-bedroom staff house.

The mansion has been on the market for an asking price of a mere $60 million.

They must have the most poorly adjusted kids with no friends in the world. It is very sad. Children need stability and that includes environment. Moving for kids is traumatic. Doing it over and over again is going to make them have issues when they grow up. Not that they care.

Kids need stability and adventure…their kids seem to be getting both. Their parents never work at the same time so at least one parent is home full-time. Heck that is more than my husband and myself can say we have. We both work and are home at 6pm from monday to friday. I would love to work 3/4 months, then stay home with my kids and travel wherever work takes me, imagine the experiences my kids will have. Now they are like “Mom is there another park we can go to?

Wowww this house is gorgeous!! The snow makes it look even more beautiful. I agree that it isn’t great that the kids are being moved around so much, but they have been like that since they were little and know no different. To them it’s probably very exciting! Brad and Ange seem to be awesome parents who spend a lot of time with their children and that’s the most important thing about the early stages of their lives. When they grow up a little it will be more important for them to make friends, which will mean Brad and Ange settling down somewhere. I’m sure they realise this.

These kids always have a parent taking care of them. They know that Daddy or Mommy will be there for them no matter where they live. It is not where you live that provides stability, it is the parents who love their kids and put their kids first in their lives, which both Brad and Angelina do. The kids are so lucky because their parents schedules’ revolves around them. Angelina has not worked more that 3-4 months a year in the last 3 years, if that. Brad is with the kids when she works. They both are able to take the kids to work with them. The kids have the most enriched lives, travelling and experiencing the world as they are homeschooled. They are learning to speak several languages. These kids have moved all their lives, this is what they know, like the kids of Will Smith and Tom Cruise and others. So Hannan I totally diagree with you. ParisH lived in one place and look at her life.

The kids always seem happy and well behaved when out in public for the most part. They are used to moving, that is normal for them. Brad and Angelina seem extremely hands on parents and do not leave their kids for weeks and months at a time as some parents do, one parent is always home with the kids. Both Angelina and Brad have said that they realize that when the kids are older like teenagers they may have to stay in one place and not move as much. They both appear to put the well being of their kids above all else. This week in Berlin they took the kids to Legoland, they always spend lots of time with their kids, both make the kids their priority. There are 6 of them, they never want for playmates.

I don’t see them as the wonderful parents that most of you do…. Angelina seems to have replaced her other addictive behaviors with adding children. The school-age children have been shuffled in and out of so many schools- that can’t be good for kids to have to switch schools every three months. I think the kids would be better off in one stable environment with the parent who is not working and the filming parent fly back on weekends. Then they would get a stable school environment. Besides, growing up in their family they will be traveling every holiday and vacation anyway so why can’t they have a permanent home so there is a balance?

The JP’s didn’t create/invent this yet they seem to be the only ones who catch critical analysis. Plenty of families live nomadic lives and still produce smart, emotionally secure, professionally successful and vastly more aware of how the world works children. Paul & Linda McCartney are a great example of a family who bucked the critics and raised their family the way they felt was best for them. Linda Mccartney said that the kids went where she and Paul went, and it was about staying a family.

    —————-

National Geographic Photographer/Author Annie Griffiths Belt says about raising her kids on the road: Lily and Charlie Belt spent much of their childhood away from home, living for months at a time on every continent but Antarctica. Griffiths Belt says that spending all that time away from school, while difficult, was a positive influence in her children’s development. “I think it enhanced both their education and their social lives,” she said. “They’re very flexible kids; they’re very open to new cultures and new experiences.”

    Cate Blanchett
    The Beckhams
    Madonna’s kids

    —————

Even Dr. Joyce Brothers said the kids of sense of security comes not by being in some stationary local at their young age, it comes from being with the parents and there is absolutely no mistaken that Brad & Angelina are a neverending source of loving care & constant source of security for each other and their growing brood.

All you with your bullshit concern for the JP kids is fake, phoney and, again bullshit. You could care less you know it’s about just another opportunity to bitch about Brad & Angelina. You never say a damn thing when it’s anyone elses kids. The Beckhams are in a new country once a damn week, but do we hear a peep out of the cheap seats moaning and all concerned for the boys being dragged about the globe? hell no we don’t, and because their not Brad & Angies kids.

Barbara, shut up until your ass can come up with an original thought. Do any of you ever have something to say that isnt a parroting of some tabliod? Yada yada hotdamn yada. You just absorb like a sponge anything any pile of swill they toss at you about anybody, and then you vomit it up like it’s truth. This is not about defending JP, it’s about being fed up with people basing opinions on bullshit and calling it truth. You’ll praise Britneys ass for dumping her kids, and then dog Angelina for being hands on! And that’s another thing Barbara, Brad’s their daddy. She is not in this alone so stop it with acting like she is.

I wonder how much the MOVIE is paying of the rental bill.

Even 15+ years ago when Tom Cruise was filming “The Firm” and in the Cayman Islands instead of staying at the Hyatt in two bedroom condos like all the other principle actors, the Cruise’s had a big rental mansion on the beach and two cars with drivers. He also flew the family in on a private jet—not lowly American Airlines first class—like the rest of the cast.

I’m sure they are NOT paying the full rental price. That is a certainty.

Hey, when you can live in homes like that, who needs school and stability? These are common desires of common people, having friends and social skills, living in the same neighborhood to get a sense of roots. For kids of regular parents, who work for a living, plan for their kid’s future, worry about poor influences like drugs and poor family values. These kids are born (or adopted) by world-famous movie stars, also admitted drug users and uh, adulterers. They need to embody the ethic of their parent’s life. Escape? check. Ivory Tower life? check. Dysfunctional social situation? check. C’mon people, everyone is doing it - Michael Jackson (Blanket, anyone?), Tom Cruise, John Travolta..that Jennifer Garner is ruining the magic of Hollywood style parenting with her trips to parks and preschool and such other common-folk stuff. It’s all her fault!

That house is tragic and I was going to say they for sure are going to do a demo/remodel but then I read they are renting. It must be in a beautiful location. This tudor style is very dated, kinda like Atari 2600 and jellies.

Ya know, Brad & Angelina are doing a great job w/ their children. The kids they adopted I’m certain, are in a much better place than they were!!!!!! How bout that. People need to take a good look @ why they have so much criticizism towards them.

What, you can’t afford a lifestyle like this so you think no one else should enjoy it? I have worked my ass off to be able to afford to travel extensively with my son who is now 14. He has seen places and people that truly make him appreciate what he has. Hopefully the JP clan will learn some of these lessons as well. As far as the drug use and adultry, let he who has not sinned…..I think what the parents have done in the past will be used in the context of what not to do, as in learn from my mistakes children, and don’t repeat them. The comment about Ang replacing one addiction with a child addiction could be worse. She could’ve become a sex addict and considering she could have about anyone she wants, it could’ve been your husband. I hear Hugs Not Drugs all the time, she is a perfect example. Collecting kids beats the hell out of collecting crackpipes. Ang is gorgeous, Brad needs to lose the pimp stache, and they should all just be happy.

I was a friend who visited there before the “addition” to that house. It was a 3 bedroom split ranch. I have a brief video during construction with the owners son’s playing Robin Leach. After remodeling I lived there on and off from 1995 through 1997. It has a “fuse box” to control power and the 50KW generator the size of my garage. Lots of funs times there and took my first “chopper” ride out of the backyard in winter.

I guess I am a traumatized, unstable, friendless, and poorly adjusted person seeing my father was in the US Army and I moved from place to place over and over as a child. I wonder what type of issues I will face later in my adulthood? No-one has ever brought any to light thus far…

Maybe you just have a skewed view of the way you think things should be? Your way is not the right way for everyone, thank God we live in America… They have the right to choose their path for themselves, and it’s non of your business.

Personally I think your misinformed, and want other people to conform to the way you think people should live. Good thing they have the freedom to not live under the rule of your fist.

Now if they were moving from place to place living out of their car and teaching their children to bleed off of society by any means they can I would have to agree with you. Sadly for you this is not the case, making your statements invalid, IMO.

To all those who believe they are not good, decent, or halfway acceptable parents… Please allow me to come into your life and put you under the microscope. I am sure I can find well over 100 faults in your parenting skills. No parent is perfect, I know mine weren’t ~ neither were yours ~ neither are you. There is no such thing as a perfect parent, its a fallacy.

All of the above hate messages are nothing more than a typical person, spewing hate because they are not as successful as the subject in their rants.
