Showing off his new Emo-inspired glasses, Jim Carrey was seen out and about during the 2009 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah today.

The big 38-year-old funnyman was en route to his hotel after attending a press conference for his new film, I Love You Phillip Morris, alongside his costar Ewan McGregor.

And while their collaborative big screen effort is essentially a gay-themed love story, Jim says he doesn’t consider the flick a gay movie.

“To me, this was never a question of a gay movie,” he said during the one-hour media chat. “This was a story of two people in love. As an actor, it’s the same as playing any other man, or any other character.”

Things got a little awkward when a member of the audience asked Jim what he was doing for the gay community.

“I’m loving and I am tolerating,” he said, with an unmistakable hint of frustration. “I’m accepting everyone on their own terms.”
