That being said, will.i.am and composer David Foster debuted America’s Song on The Oprah Winfrey Show today, in honour of the President-Elect’s inauguration.
The track features appearances by Seal, Bono, Mary J. Blige and others.
Says the Black Eyed Peas singer: “The meaning of this song is being proud of America. I wanted to write the new American anthem for this day and age — for this generation.”
Yeah, not quite.

Oh fucking barf.
Oh now they’re proud of America…sure. When i watched this “put on” performance i also felt like getting sick due to it’s fakeness. Seriously, it was f*ing sickening to see this display of fake pride in our country.
This the most heart rending song with all the singers touched my heart and brought tears. Just thinking what a beautiful Country we have when we have people like you all who contribute these words so meaningful.
I hope this is recordedd so it can be purchased.
I did listen to it again and again on my computer.

These guys are brilliant. This is the funniest song I have heard in forever. I’m really not sure how the comedy writers are going to satirize this. They certainly have their work cut out for them. Maybe adding the visuals of the singers will help? Trey Parker, Matt Stone, I’m talking to you.
We HAVE a national anthem! This is a nice song. It should have been left at that. Please do not insult our intelligence by saying it is worthy of being called our National Anthem.
