On what is arguably the coldest day ever, celeb couple Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon were all smiles as they hit up the Stogo Ice Cream Shop in New York City today.
The recently opened organic, dairy-free ice-cream shop is owned by Kyra’s brother Rob Sedgwick.
While they’re both currently working actors — Kevin can be seen Frost/Nixon while Kyra can be seen on TNT’s The Closer – they may soon be scooping up some frozen delights themselves after getting victimized in Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme. They apparently lost everything they had but their real estate and checking accounts.
Kevin recently spoke to Life & Style magazine about the devastating news.:
“We’ll march on. We have to. There¹s nothing you can do about it. You can’t change what happened. Things could be worse. You remember that, and you go on with your life.
But Kevin was shocked by the news of Madoff’s scam. “I didn’t see it coming,” he said.
Asked by Life & Style what he’s currently working on, Kevin replied: “I don’t have anything lined up right now, but I need to work, for obvious reasons.”
Poor Kevin. Perhaps a few more degrees of separation from Madoff would have done the down-and-out actor some good!

Greedy and rich celebs trying to get richer. Zero sympathy here. He wanted to give one million and get five million back. Without using his own common sense. Greedy people deserve what they get.
I LOVE Kyra & Kevin. Just a great great couple. She just keeps getting more pretty, I had NO Idea that he owned that yummy place! It’s vegan ice cream and you would not no it didn’t have milk in it.
I’m shocked they put all their “eggs in one basket” but I do feel sorry for them although they’ll still make more in a year than I’ll make in 10
