While the shot is lovely, the inspiration is utterly played out (especially in the new year!) and Miss Gossip Girl star is not entirely deserving of a Vogue cover.
Maybe Teen Vogue. Not Vogue.

I disagree. I’d much rather see a YOUNG actress on the cover rather than an over-photoshopped SJP or Nicole Kidman. It’s almost as good as real MODEL on the cover, but not quite. Maybe when Wintour shoved out the door.
She looks fantastic! Blake is a darling.

This photo does not capture the “look” that Blake has that makes her different–here she just looks like any other blonde. This same thing seems to happen a lot when celebs are subjected to a lot of Photoshop for magazine covers..they lose the look that makes them unique.

I disagree that its boring, I think she looks gorgeous! How does it look nothing like her, she looks like this every week on Gossip Girl. It’s nice to see younger actresses in Vogue and not just the usual actresses.
i don’t find blake attractive but she looks gorgeous on this cover …BUT it doesn’t look like her so a lot of lighting was involved.
