The stunning ‘American Beauty’ star proudly showed off her shocking new buzz ‘do while stepping out in Beverly Hills yesterday for a lunch date with friends.
While we’re more used to seeing the 28-year-old actress with long, blonde, flowing locks, rumour has it Mena took the clippers to her head for an upcoming movie role à la Demi Moore.

The only person who ever really pulled this off for me was Natalie Portman. From shaved to pixie to bob and back to long again. I swear if Mena’s name was not on here, I would have assumed it was that Marisa Coughlan chick.

I have nothing against women that shave their heads, but very few people can pull it off… and Mena’s not one of them. Like a previous poster pointed out- her fivehead is ridiculous. I like her, but she probably looks like a doe-eyed little alien underneath those shades.
I think she’s rocking it. The confidence it takes to pull off this look makes her sexy.
I guess i’m the only one who kinda likes it…. To me a bald head on a girl is alway a sign of confidence, to that is always a good thing especially in Hollywood where insecurities run rampid.
I think we’re all missing the point here. At least she wasn’t batshit crazy when she did it and her movie ‘rolls’ (remember that?!) actually exists! Its true, I think its not ‘brave’ but it is gutsy to shave your head in a place like LA as a girl and not just get a wig or something done with special effects…

I don’t think it looks that bad at all! I don’t think Britneys looks bad though either and with the right makeup and stuff Britney could really rock the shaved head look in my opinion. Reminds me of Sinead O’Connor.
