Tom Cruise appeared on The View but he certainly didn’t say much.
When he wasn’t busy choking up over the death of Jett Travolta, the five lovely Viewsters were speaking over him.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked about his 2-year-old daughter Suri, who is the subject of much media attention. “Is it flattering? Does it bother you?”
Said Tom: “It’s both very flattering and … you kind of go …. it is what it is. It’s something that … she, of course … we all think our children are incredible.”
As for his 16-year-old daughter Bella? “She’s a good girl. She’s really ….” and he never filled in the blank, but switched to say, “It’s exciting because, you look forward to that time, to having those conversations and to see them stretching themselves. I feel lucky to have the teenagers (son Connor will be 14 on Jan. 17) and Suri.”
Tom got a little more concise when it came to his plans for Sunday night, when wife Katie Holmes closes her Broadway show, All My Sons – or as Barbara Walters called it: All My Children. The 46-year-old actor noted with a grin that he’s “seen it over 30 times.” And he told a cute story about how he was sitting in the wings with Suri the other night at the theater and she was just about ready to step out on stage. He grabbed her just before she went out. “I said, ‘Suri, you can’t go on stage!’ and she said, ‘Why not?’”
And what about the Golden Globes? Tom will hit the red carpet in L.A. for his Best Supporting Actor nod for Tropic Thunder as Katie does her final performance.
“Kate said, ‘You go.’” he explained. “She’s going to meet me afterward.” He said he’ll be going with “her father and my mother.” Then Katie will fly out after the NY show and “we’ll be at the parties together.”

For some reason I really like him now. I like some of his movies, but never him much until now. He seems like the backlash he got a few years back, and being dropped from Paramount etc etc etc has humbled him some. He seems less arrogant.
I would like to see Tom, Katie and Nicole in a movie. With all that history between them their chemistry would crackle. Perhaps a remake of “A Place in the Sun” Katie could play the Shelly Winters role.

He has really changed for the better and it is nice seeing him on The View today.. He is not so tense anymore
and now that his 67 million dollar movie is a hit… maybe life will be better.. Why her father and his mother…
It is nice that Katie compromised.. rushing down to California for the after parties… He grabbed Suri by the dress and tried to pull her back than she grabbed his hand and said No daddy..Glad to see that he will be
there.. Hope that Jlo gives him the award nomination…

Jesus, when they asked him about Jett Travolta’s trajic death, he couldn’t even think of what to say. Without a script Tom is s pretty stupid actor.
and if he had just perfectly rattled something off, some would be like ” he’s so rehearsed.” Give it a break already.
