TOM CRUISE ADDRESSES TRAVOLTA TRAGEDY

Did you notice something missing from The View today? Like scheduled guest Tom Cruise??

ABC taped the show with Tom and it will air tomorrow, Friday, instead.

Why? Because’s of Barack Obama’s speech from George Mason University about the economy.

Today’s show was originally intended to air tomorrow, a View spokesman says; the two were swapped when they learned the speech would be covered.

Luckily for you, FYB’s got a little preview of his interview.

When asked about the death of John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s 16-year-old son, Jett, Tom gets visibly shaken, saying: “It’s horrific. It’s just horrific. Here you have a man, both of them doting parents, they’re wonderful people and …” before trailing off.

Commenting on the speculation that Scientology — the religion to which he and the Travoltas adhere — discourages followers from seeking medical care, Tom says: “That’s just not true. It’s actually false. They say, ‘Get your physical, get your medication, get your physical illnesses handled.’”

They seriously need to stop trying to portray Scientology as normal. It fucked up John’s kid. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

post depression.. that vitamins and exercise can do the job… John and Kelly did it on their own.. blaming the carpet cleaners as the cause for Jett’s illness..Did they really go to the hospital and have him tested for anything else ..

Scientology makes a false distinction between what it sees as “physical” illness and “emotional” illness. Meaning some diseases are treated and others aren’t. Something like a broken leg or food poisoning they would get standard medical treatment. BUT, according to Scientology things like postpartum depression & autism are “emotional” illness and don’t need medication.

Notice his emphasis on the word physical. Clearly they don’t believe in mental illness.
