The one-hunk hunk gets up close and person in W magazine’s “A-List†February issue, which goes on sale nationwide January 20.
Here are some of what Brad has to say:
-On falling in love with Angelina: “What people don’t understand is that we filmed [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] for a year. We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that’s all.â€- On Jennifer Aniston’s comment that it was “uncool†for Angie to say she and Pitt fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith: “Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.â€
-On his relationship with Jen now: “We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.â€
Why did he request that the photographer shoot him with a technique that captures every line and flaw? Because he didn’t want to be “the guy coming out of the ocean water with his T-shirt wet, even though I’ve done that, too, but have always walked away feeling a little crap about it.â€
-On photographing Jolie for W magazine’s November 2008 photo spread: “We have fun working together; these things bring you closer. And let me tell you, it’s really sexy to see your loved one through the lens. I went much further [than the cover shot of Jolie breast-feeding]. I didn’t show those.â€
-On how he went from being a slacker in the late 90’s to having a strong interest in philanthropy: “[I was] spending too much time smoking things I shouldn’t be. I was asking, What’s it about? It couldn’t just be wanting a successful movie or something. Then I got more engaged, started studying more and [my] interests blossomed.â€
- On how family life has changed him: “I quit smoking. That was the only thing that got me to quit. That was it. Done.â€
-On wearing motorcycle gear to evade paparazzi: “This is my anonymity. With it, I’m just another a–hole on the streets.â€
-On being in Chicago’s Grant Park on election night for President-elect Obama’s acceptance speech: “It was just total jubilation. It was the best rock concert that I’ve ever been to. Really. I could just feel it in the air. All the boulevards were closed afterward, and so we walked a half hour to the hotel. Everyone was just on a high.â€
-On how he was able to walk undisturbed through the crowded streets of Chicago: “Man, nobody cared about us at that moment. By nature, I keep moving, man. My theory is, be the shark. You’ve just got to keep moving. You can’t stop.â€
-On gay marriage rights: “People who are against gay marriage do not understand the very freedoms that they themselves are enjoying. What if someone said, ‘Sorry, no Christianity here? No Judaism. Certainly no Mormons.’ No one would stand for that, and I wouldn’t allow anyone to say that either. I’d fight them in the same way.â€
-On how his own mortality: “I’m scared to death of death.â€

I applaud him for letting them use that photo. It is much more hot to see someone in their natural state than all airbrushed. Aging is a part of life man.

I am glad, however, that they chose to put him in all of his aging glory on the cover instead of some stupid airbrushed picture that would’ve made him look unreal and under 35. Unfortunately, the would never allow a natural photo of a FEMALE celebrity aging gracefully on the cover of a magazine — no, women aren’t supposed to age gracefully… only men. Assholes.

Totally understandable his fear of death. That’s why his partners get younger and younger. He needs to STFU. There is absolutely nothing interesting about this man. He’s as vacuous and and obnoxious as they come. He’s the biggest asshole on the street.
I love him. I love this picture. He’s come a long way in a good way imo. Devin, he’s only been with one person post Jen, while Jen’s been linked not once, but 4 times with men who happen all to be progressively younger. I think it’s hilarious that some of you still can’t get over that he moved on and Jen really hasn’t. He’s the magnamimus one here. He’s getting her off the hook with a “sweetheart” and a pat on the head while at the same time letting the world know Angelina’s his love. He’s smart. Jen can’t say a damn thing from here on out without admitting finally that the marriage went poof all on it’s own. Brad is a f’n smart guy lol. He’s put Jen in a trick bag that she has no way out of without admitting she and Brad and nobody else wrecked their marriage.
I think that people have a really messed up sense about what looking “old” means. He looks like a man in his mid 40’s. People act like he is supposed to look like Zac Efron? The problem is that we have become so accustomed to photoshopping, airbrushing, and cosmetic surgery that we have no idea what a real person looks like when they are middle aged. So much so that we embrace people like Demi Moore, Nicole Kidman, and Jen Aniston and praise them for their looks and youthfulness when we know that they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to achieve that look. It seems much more impressive to appear on a magazine showing the real person. And Devin, he didn’t appear vacuous and obnoxious at all to me rather a thoughtful man who manages to answer questions without slamming anyone. He sounds like a pretty nice guy who fell in love with a woman and created the life that he wanted.
Never cared for him as an actor. But the photo above reveals a far more interesting and human face than I have noticed before. Congratulations.

1. None of you know the facts so stop assuming that you do, and then insulting others who think differently.
2. The Mirror how do you know Jennifer hasn’t moved on? Better yet how do you know Brad isn’t with Angie for the kids sake? Yup they both sound like stupid assumtions.

I am not a fan of Brangelina or Jen, although I find Brangelina more annoying.

Wow. He must be extremely secure to allow himself to be photographed like that. Most actors INSIST on air-brushing and Photoshop touch-ups. He reminds me of Robert Redford - another former pretty boy who eschewed Botox and Restalyne in favor of showing his true age.
Ignoring the whole jen vs angelina angle. Does he really think that Mr & Mrs Smith is going to be a great movie for his kids to watch? Mommy and Daddy are bored with each other until they beat the crap out of each other then they have great sex? No chance of that being a little weird for them. After all, Angelina was quoted in Vanity Fair saying she never seen Midnight Cowboy because her father played a prostitute.

Kate Moss posed for Close a couple of years ago for a W spread. Christy Turlington once insisted that they skip the photoshopping for a cover - can’t remember the magazine - SELF maybe - it was when she was promoting a skincare line.
The Mirror my comments are not about his life since Angelina. Pull your Brad worshipping head out of his ass and actually read the comment. Typical loon response thinking that everything is about JA. Brad has always been an ass. He sucks as an actor and has proven that he is a vile human being. Brad is desperate to be taken seriously hence, the no makeup photo shoot. It is not original and he wants people to think he has depth and is profound. When in fact he’s a fucking idiot who will sell his soul for attention.
If you’re an actor, then you are vain. Plain and simple. So I don’t really care if he wants us to think how there’s no vanity about him when he chose this cover.

I love Brad. I could listen to him talk in his interviews every day, mainly because he comes across as so honest and down to earth. He knows that he’s going to be asked certain question and he doesn’t have a fit or try not to answer them he just goes with it. He seems like a really good guy and I love that he used this photo for the cover. He still looks amazing, it just shows a different side to him. I think it’s been hard for him to get respect as an actor, because of his looks. I think it’s only been in the past couple of years that he’s finally got it. He was amazing in Benjamin Button, deserves an award for that for sure!
Nobody stays beautiful forever brad is aging that’s life its just strange because its like it happened overnight.

@27 There were a lot of rumours that he was doing steroids when he beefed up to do Troy. Using makes men look great at first but when they stop using them they often age like 10 years overnight. (IF true, it would also explain why Jen didn’t get pregnant during that time.)
Children will age you more than anything. 6 kids? All under the age of 10? He must be exhausted. Brad had his time in the limelight as the Golden Boy. Now he needs to step aside and put his children first. That is the sacrifice that all parents make. If he wanted to stay beautiful, he should have stayed child-less like his buddy Clooney.

Hey, I can’t help it if what I say apparently is enough to burrow under some thin skin here. Although its not my aim, I seem to have a knack at hitting a nerve more times than those of you who take issue with me care to admit.
