Reese Witherspoon didn’t let a late night date with beau Jake Gyllenhaal get in the way of her fitness regimen.
While her man hit up the local Petco store in Santa Monica, CA today to pick up a bag of dog food and other goodies for his pooch, the 32-year-old actress was up bright and early with a friend getting ready for a morning jog.
Though they’re apart, Reese is said to be “closer than ever” to Jake after the pair spent a cozy Christmas together. The mother-of-two is said to be impressed by the way he handled her kids over the festive period.
A source says, “They had a traditional Christmas with Reese’s kids around and they really were like one happy family. Reese loves the way Jake is with the kids and they love him like a father. I think if Jake asked her, Reese would marry him tomorrow.”

Wow she needs to workout for realsies, not dress up in workout clothes, jog lite for half a block and pose for the paps.
Hmm..I wonder if someone said that the kids love Abbie like a mother if she would find that offensive? The children have a father who is quite active in their lives and that quote seems a tad bit ridiculous and sounds more like PR spin than the truth.
