After being diagnosed with the learning disability when he was 7 years old, Tom tells Spain’s XL Semanal magazine that he was often “anxious, frustrated and bored” as a youth and couldn’t concentrate in class.
The 46-year-old actor goes on to say that he was functionally illiterate when he graduated from school in 1980, but learned to read perfectly as an adult through Scientology technology.
It should be noted that Tom requested that a transcript of his original comments in English be made not made available.
