NICOLE AND JOEL GO BEYOND

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden kicked off the new year by helping others!

The dogooding couple hosted a party for the kids from Beyond Shelter held at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA yesterday.

Beyond Shelter is a non-profit organization that offers comprehensive social services, child development and welfare-to-work programs for families living in poverty.

This is not Nicole and Joel’s first charitable run-in with the organization. Late last year, the celeb couple launched their Text CHILD to 90999 campaign which raised funds to build a playground for the children at Beyond Shelter in Los Angeles.

    I like them alot and maybe more of us could use an image if it means those needing help might benefit from our fame.

    This is a good thing they are doing. I still don’t like her much, but I won’t hate on her for helping kids in need.
