Taking a break from parent duty, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden made their way to Studio City, Ca today before enjoying a shopping spree at the Chanel store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on Friday.
Meanwhile, rumour has it Nicole is planning to marry Joel at her dad Lionel’s plush Bel Air mansion. The new parents are said to be planning a spring wedding; and house hunting in the Good Charlotte rocker’s native Maryland where the couple hopes to relocate next summer.
A source tells the National Enquirer: “The wedding will be Nicole and Joel’s goodbye to Los Angeles. Joel really wants to keep the guest list short, but he also understands that Nicole wants one last big party in L.A.”
Guests expected to attend include Paris Hilton, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Gwen Stefani and Tobey Maguire.
Joel and Nicole are said to be looking at properties on the Annnapolis and Chesapeake Bay areas of Maryland, about 45 minutes from Waldorf. Madden’s mom, Robin, also lives nearby.
The source adds, “With Harlow turning 1 soon, Joel really wants her to grow up far from the craziness of L.A. Nicole’s never lived anywhere but Los Angeles, but she’s anxious for a change of scenery and slower pace now that she’s a mom and soon-to-be wife. Joel can’t wait to get out of the L.A. rat race. But he and Nicole want to throw a memorable wedding before bolting the big city. Nicole’s matured tremendously since becoming a mom. Her priorities have changed. The wedding is the kickoff to their new life.”

LOL. Does anybody care? Joel is a washed-up has-been. His music career is over. Nicole is another irrelevant famewhore. Her only claim to fame is that old Paris Hilton reality show which is canceled now. Two nobodies.
Nicole has never looked better. Good thing a nanny is around to do most of the work.
I think Nicole seems to spend a lot of time with Harlow. She is seen with her plenty of times and these trips out with Joel every once in a while are probably only 3 hours or so out of the whole week…she is definately entitled to that. And so what if she has a nanny? My brother, sister and I had nannies when we were younger and we are really close to our parents. It just lightens the load a bit I think and allows adults to have a life other than their children and children a little bit of freedom. Nicole looks amazing and she’s come such a long way from the junkie that she used to be. A change of scenery would do her good I think. She’s one of my favourite celebs

i can’t stand the way she plays the parent card and is seen over and over again without harlow, and yes we do see her out with harlow but it’s more often we see her out at night without her or going for time off from parent duty with joel or friends….. why have a kid… oh i know thats what you do when your “career’s” over and you need a boost.
