She recently wrote a letter to teacher Ron Clark to commend him on the work he does at the innovative private school he opened in one of Atlanta’s poorest neighbourhoods.
It doesn’t end there.
Attached to that letter was a check for $365 000 to help him educate those who cannot afford the $14 000 annual tuition.
Says Mr. Clark: “We teach school all day and fundraise at night. To have an unsolicited gift come like that is incredible.”
It was, quite literally, an answer to a prayer.

This BUFFARILLO is a FRAUD.
People can hate on O all they want but she puts her money where her mouth is.
I agree post number two. She is definately one generous person and she doesn’t just give money to the things she believes in, but she educates herself and other people about them as well. She has gone off in the past few years though, I feel like she has got a little too into the celebrity world or something. I prefer her shows when they are about real, interesting, people or are educating viewers about health or something. Leave the celebrity interviews to Ellen or Matt Lauer or something.
