Looks like the Spice Girls are cashing in on Victoria Beckham’s fame in the spotlight. The midly talented singer sits atop their newly released promotional photo flashing her trademark pout.
The group have just announched that instead of kicking-off in Posh’s new hometown of Los Angeles, they will instead play their first comeback concert in Vancouver, Canada.
The girls have also added shows in San Jose, California and Shanghai in addition to their growing world tour.
A message on their website reads: “In true girl power tradition we are taking over the world … again! We have just found out that we’ve had over three million ticket requests on the website. As our own VB would say, that is ‘major’! If we haven’t announced a date near you, you can still vote for your city to become Spice City. For one night only, exactly where we perform is down to you and your votes. We are literally in your hands.”

It if wasn’t for Victoria’s exposure, there would be NO Spice Girls reunion, IMO.
And, yes they all look wonderful, except Scary… she looks, well… scarier.

actually, it’s just occurred to me, i’m thinking maybe they planned to add these extra cities all along? i can’t imagine the girls would do extra shows just for free. it was a pretty good way to get huge interest from the cities not included in the original line-up. ploy maybe?
posh and baby look really good in that pic. I know geri is looking better these days than she looks in that pic. scary used to be really pretty (especially when they first came out) but time hasn’t been as friendly to her. and at least sporty doesn’t have that short, spikey blond hair anymore (yikes!)

Are they going to have new names? Baby Spice doesn’t look like a baby anymore. Scary Spice looks really good. And Sporty Spice is more glam than she is sporty.

What people don’t understand is that Posh hasn’t just recently become famous. She never was not in the spotlight. In the years from when the Spice Girls broke up until now she has been a HUGE star in both the UK and Australia and other parts of the world as well….its just the US who seemed to forget about her until her big move here to LA. The other Spice Girls have also still been followed around by the press, especially in England and there has been talk of a reunion for years! I think its great because they were such a hugely successful band who’s time seemed to be up a bit too quickly due to Geri’s departure…its great they are getting a second shot!
