Ewan McGregor was seen having breakfast with a friend at Le Pain in Brentwood, CA this morning.

Aside from his on-screen charm and charisma, the 46-year-old Scottish actor has long been known for his affinity for motorbikes.

As a youth, Ewan undertook a 4-month marathon motorcycle trip where he travelled from London to New York via central Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Canada, for a cumulative distance of 22 345 miles.

As an adult, McGregor recently put up one of his prized motorbikes for auction to help children affected by natural disasters or wars. The Star Wars actor’s Moto Guzzi California Vintage was put on eBay to raise money for Unicef, the children’s charity he is an ambassador for, and it went on to raise nearly $50 000.

Says Unicef fundraising director Fiona Hesselden: “Unicef would like to thank Ewan McGregor for auctioning his much-loved motorbike, which has raised the sizeable sum of £22,100 for our work with children globally. This money will support Unicef’s Children’s Emergency Fund, helping children such as those in Zimbabwe or the Democratic Republic of Congo who so urgently need our help at this time.”
