Ben Affleck was all smiles at the Gimme Shelter launch for the UNHCR in New York City today.
The absent father and devout humanitarian has teamed up with rocker Mick Jagger to launch the short film which draws attention to the plight of Congolese families driven from their homes by a decade of war.
Gimme Shelter is directed by Ben and features the Rolling Stones’ hit by the same name.
The film features footage shot last month Nord-Kivu, where a quarter-million people have been forced to flee their homes since fighting between rebels and government forces flared up in August. The movie will be distributed “via the Internet, television, mobile phones, cinemas and hotel chains to raise public awareness,” the UNHCR said.

The last month Ben has been in Africa, Dubai and now New York yes he working really hard to spend time away from his wife wwho is in her last month of pregnancy, did Jennifer surprise Ben with another pregnancy because he’s just not that into her. He’s spent more time away from her than with her and he looks to be enjoying every minute of it.
