Madonna and Guy Ritchie have issued a joint statement saying both are happy with the financial agreement reached in their divorce — but they aren keep the details secret.
Madge’s spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg told The Associated Press in an e-mail yesterday that her superstar client would pay Guy a settlement in the range of 50 million to 60 million pounds (about $76 million to $92 million). But the former flames said today that Rosenberg’s statement contained inaccurate information about the financial settlement.
“We have tried to maintain a dignified silence regarding the details of our divorce for the last few months whilst accepting the obvious media interest,” say the exes. “A misleading and inaccurate statement, specifically in relation to the sums of money involved, was wrongly issued to AP this week. The financial details of the settlement will remain private, save to say that both of us are happy with our agreement. Our primary concern, like any co-parents, is the care and well being of our children.”

Ths is bullshit staged by Vadge. Liz Rosenberg would never have released the amount without Madonna’s say so. She wanted to get sympathy back because the public thought Guy was not taking any of her money. This was all planned out, so now they can jointly say they aren’t telling us how much he got. Vadge continues to behave like the child she is, when nobody really gives a shit how much Guy gets.
This is what is known as a publicist that went too far.. and to make Guy Ritchie look bad infront of his son..
Why it is great that they are now calling A-Rod Mr. Madge… Eh Liz way to go.. on that one two.. since they
are not dating .. how many more lies do we have to see.. and since when haven’t the media got hold of their
divorce papers as usual…
I agree with Laurie, Madonna’s publicist probably went too far. I just love that people just point at Madonna and say she planned this. She is the queen of PR and marketing so there is now way she would do something stupid as this.
Madonna wouls cut off Liz Rosenberg’s head if she didn’t want the $ amount out there. this was all planned.
There was no way that Madonna was going to let her reputation suffer more than it needed to since the British press was acting like Guy was walking away with nothing. He was praised from coast to coast because he wasn’t taking her money and that wasn’t the case. They are both professionals and they know how to play the game. And if you think for a moment her PR person released that report without Madonna knowing and approving you don’t know Madonna.
Madge had Liz Rosenberg leak this, then she issued that “joint” statement as if Liz had gone renegade. But the damage to Guy’s rep is done.
Madge IS the queen of PR — this is just another example of how she rolls.
