A big chunk of the settlement involves real estate that Madge couldn’t unload in the current market unless she took a significant loss. She wants out of the UK for good and is divesting herself of assets. Her accountants will find a way to write this settlement off against her Sticky & Sweet tour earnings so that she pays the minimum tax possible.
The real question is: What is that phony British accent worth to her now?
