If you’ve noticed that the Hot N Cold singer has toned down her trademark costume look in recent times, it’s for good reason — Katy has revealed that she wants to join the long list of celebs to launch a fashion line!
“I’ve always experimented with clothes and have my own style inspired by pin-up girls and Lolita,” she tells Fabulous magazine. “Agyness Deyn and Dita Von Teese are my fashion icons. I love to create a character, and I like looking like I’ve just stepped out of a history book.”
Considering she’s often found at the top of many a worst dressed list, what does she have to say about her image? “I say what I think. I’m a real person, not some manufactured pop tart who’s afraid to step out of the hotel room. I am flawed. I swear, I have the occasional cocktail, I pick my nose and I fart. I’m not running for any presidential campaign at the moment. I’m a sassy girl.”

I don’t get the fascination with her. She’s not cute and sounds like a dying yak when she sings. “I kissed a girl ” is a really stupid song.
No way would I wear her clothes. Not just because her style sucks but because it would be incredibly embarassing to tell people it was designed by her. She does nothing for me, her music or her looks. By 2009 she’ll be over.

Fuck all you Katy haters. Especially if you have only listened to I kissed a girl. because i didn’t like it. but the rest of her album rocks. and you guys can shove it, she has an amazing style. You probably can’t think of anything as creative as she does, and just wear what everyone else says is trendy.

Her style is different than most peoples’ and I wouldn’t really say I would wear her clothes, if they were as drastic as they are in her videos… but if it has like a hint of her style and a lot more normal or at least ’school appropriate’ clothes, I would definitely buy some.
