KATIE AND VICTORIA ARE NOT THAT POSH

Unlikely BFFs Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham click-clacked their stilettos into the Mondrian Hotel’s Asia de Cuba in Hollywood for lunch the other day.
While Posh ran her fingers through her hair in that trademark aren’t-I-fabulous way, Katie kept it casual and cool as paps snapped away.
But apparently, Mrs. Beckham forgot to raid her hubby David’s wallet before she left the house. According to the Daily Mail, not only did she not leave a tip, she didn’t even cover her part of the bill.
The waiter serving her tried to run after Victoria, but was stopped by the Beckham security team.
Sure, not the biggest crime when it comes celebs these days, but it’s certainly isn’t the best impression to leave for soon-to-be American fans.

misunderstanding? Maybe she thought Katie was flipping the bill.. God knows the Cruises have been kissing their ass since they got here. I won’t pass judgement on this one.. it’s actually happened to me before.

Yeah , likely she thought Katie was paying ..as for tips she’ll get used to this , give her time. You see tips are not such a big deal in UK as in America…I’m not saying they don’t pay tips there but it’s not obligatory and usually a little change…

There’s no required tip in Europe.

There is no required tip in America either but most people pay it for good service. I had that people expect a tip regardless of the quality of service.

Technically you do tip in europe - it’s just built into the bill as a service charge … in the u.k though sometimes the service charge is only for parties of 6 or more but in london many of the restaurants charge 12.5% irrespective of the amount of diners but the rest of the u.k tend to only add it if 6 or more ppl … i think it’s ridiculous to assume that victoria
doesn’t tip … though tipping isn’t as big a deal in the u.k as it is in the states - the top restaurants expect 15% - 20% & if they’ve charged a service charge then they still expect something on top … so i’m pretty sure posh is used to it & also - when did the daily mail ever get stories right? it’s prob a load of crap ..

p.s - if american waiters were paid a good salary like most of their european counterparts then americans wouldn’t have to tip so damn much!!

actually you should tip in America almost 100% of the time (also, 20% is the standard most waiters expect…..we don’t get paid 3.00/hr for our health), unless your service is really really bad and completely the servers fault (a lot of time bad experiences at restaurants are a result of the kitchen or other staff and your server is busting their butt, normally, to do everything they can for you)…..sorry, I just deal with this everyday and people that under tip or under appreciate the good service I give just pisses me off. If I ever served a celebrity and they didn’t tip I would probably get fired for finding out what their problem was. Thats just my 2 cents….but what do I know, I’m just a waitress

In Europe its not mandatory to leave tips so most people don’t. And as for her part of the bill she probably thought Katie Holmes was picking up the tab. It was just a misunderstanding

I think Posh looks dumb and embarressing, she’s trying SO hard to be this bombshell that she’s not. I mean hard is she trying with the anoxeric body, the bleached hair, the super tan skin and the cartoon most unnatural breasts. she looks cheap to me.

I hate when people don’t tip their servers.
I think everyone should have to serve 6 months in the foodservice industry, just so they know how hard it is, and how to treat people.

The whole tipping thing in the States is really ridiculous. In Australia you only ever tip someone if they have really really gone out of their way to help you, you shouldn’t have to tip someone for doing their job that’s crap. And the tax thing here is bad too. In Australia you pay exactly what is on the tag, the tax is already included rather than being added on at the register which I think is a much better idea.
