The troubled actress’ uncle says that his niece was actually trying to help her ex-assistant, Tarin Graham, when she was busted for DUI after chasing Graham’s mother in her vehicle in Santa Monica on Tuesday.
Graham “is a problem individual and Lindsay was trying to help her out,” Chris Sullivan told the New York Post.
He told the newspaper that Graham’s “mother got involved and became hysterical.”
“(Lindsay) may well have not been driving the car. This girl and her mother are letting Lindsay take the fall, but hopefully the truth will come out! That would get rid of most of the charges,” Sullivan said.
Our thoughts on the latest revelation? Do we believe it? Or is this simply a last-ditch effort at some damage control?

I don’t believe it either… her defense team is really working angles though. I wish her family would shut the hell up. They all sound like a bunch of puppets and baffoons and could actually hurt her case… hey, if the glove doesn’t fit, u must aquit, right?

I could see if it were the assistant taking the fall for Lindsey but not the other way around. And, if the assistant is “a problem individual,” why would Lindsey waste her time w/ her or her mother? It just doesn’t make any sense.

I believe it’s entirely possible that she is the fall guy. I was mentioning to someone the other day that she could have been a passenger, not the driver. If her 2 other ‘friends’ were drinking with her that night and one of them was driving, they wouldn’t have wanted to be bused for a dui. Why not let Lindsay take the fall since everyone would suspect her, anyway? And, if the police arrived and she was already out of the vehicle, how was she charged with a dui? The cop didn’t see her driving.

even if she wasn’t driving, her blood alcohol level was over the limit and she had coke in her pocket. explain that, linds.
She’s not denying that she drank. She’s denying that she drove or that she did drugs.

You don’t have to be witnessed by a police officer as driving to be charged with DUI. If they have two independent witnesses that say she was driving that’s all it takes.
she might not be denying that she didn’t drink, but she is denying that the drugs were hers. didn’t she e-mail billy bush to say she was “innocent” and that she “didn’t do drugs”?
yeah, she can be charged with independent witnesses.. but any good lawyer could work around that… and there’s not a legal limit for drinking.. it’s drinking while operating a vehicle for which there is a legal limit.
are these people complete fucking idiots (or do they just think WE are?) - I think that POLICE who arrested Lindsay (who has a suspended license) know whether she was at the wheel or not (DUH!!!) - and they certainly had reason to give her a sobriety test (which the bitch failed) and, if those to charges aren’t enough - then SURELY she had cocain in her possession (oh, wait, the coke was hers - right). Is she EVER gonna take responsibility for her rediculous actions?
My god, instead of owning up to all this and taking responsibility, you just put lies on top of lies. This girl will be dead before she’s 25. I can’t believe she doesn’t have one person close to her that will slap some sense into the girl. So sad.
If you’re even in a car w/ a bag of cocaine, it’s yours unless someone else claims it. I have a friend who got charged for possession of coke just b/c he was road tripping w/ some guy who had a bag of it and wouldn’t claim it when they got pulled over. The fact that it was ON HER is all the more incriminating.
But I watch Law & Order. If they get some crazy ass, star struck judge, they might be able to get it thrown out, so who knows?

the burden of proving she’s guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt is what prosecuters face.. and a GOOD lawyer can say something like “her and a friend swapped jeans” or “she was trying clothes on with friends before she had to suddenly leave”.. Old pics of her and Paris swapping outfits and pics of her trying on a bunch of different clothes (I’ve seen a couple over the years) could be used as evidence she does this a lot and therefore it’s perfectly plausible she was swapping clothes with someone that nite. If her defense team can cast that shadow, she could get off.

Herpes - if I was a juror I wouldn’t care if they showed me 500 pics of her swapping jeans with people. Even if you did swap jeans if you felt something in the pocket you’d give it back to the person - especially if its cocaine and you just did 45 days in rehab. I don’t care if its wrong or illegal but if you’re hanging out w/ people who randomly have cocaine in their pocket, you change jeans with them and you get caught you’re going down for possession of cocaine.
Why am I the only one here to point out that LAW DOES NOT CARE ABOUT FAVORS!!!! You do not GET OFF for being NICE or “taking the fall.” What the hell is wrong with these people….

Me, what you say doesn’t make sense at all. Why would Lindsay offer to take the fall ESPECIALLY if she got charged with DUI a couple of months ago. Don’t you think it would get her into more trouble? That would be sheer stupidity if you ask me.
She lies so much, the whole ankle bracelet was a trick to fool people into believing she was sober. Whether or not she is taking the fall for someone (which is ridiculous) who will ever trust her version of the “truth”? And if it wasn’t her coke, then what the hell is a person just getting out of rehab doing around people who are doing that shit? She is a liar and deserves what she gets, she could have made herself into a real actress, not someone wanting to fall into Tara Reid’s footsteps.
only.1.without.herpes - you’re forgetting her history - though it’s not supposed to come into play, it does with a jury and DEFINATELY with a judge - anything is possible - but I think it’s safe to say that the justice system and society would have to be a complete a complete fuck up on all fronts if she walked on that charge - besides, the charge is “possession” not “ownership” (it’s illegal to have drugs in your possession, whether it’s yours or your mommas). The bitch is going down.
