The network is going ahead with plans for a remake of the 90s soap, and has ordered a pilot episode for the series, a logical companion to the this season’s remake of Beverly Hills 90210, which spawned Melrose as a spin-off.
The network is expected to tap writer-producer Mark Schwahn (of One Tree Hill fame) to pen a script next month.
No word yet on which characters from Fox’s original version of the series will be included, but the show is a safe bet for next fall’s lineup.

has 90210 been such a success that they have to reproduce this crap?
Why not since Aaron Spelling is dead ..Everyone they talked to so far have said that they are not coming back
It is hard to believe that Laura Leighton and Doug Savant are still married .. They got married while still on
Melrose Place..So go ahead and hire new talented actors to do the role.. Since Heather Locklear wants to
be on Brothers and Sisters… Maybe Tori can be on this show too!!
Doug Savant is on Desparate Housewives, Rob Estes is on 90210, Josie Bissett Rob’s ex wife said No too
and so did Grant Show and Marcia Cross is on Desparate Housewives too..Courtney said No too..
So the rest no one knows any more so go ahead.. at what is famously known as a comeback if the do
come back at all
Hooray! Bring back Sydney!
I loved syndey too! but she died( which ruined the show for me). The new 90210 sucks and so will this remake. Why can’t they just leave things the way they are?.
the best thing about this show was sydney. i love laura leighton.
I don’t think so. I really don’t like it when they remake old TV shows. It very rarely works. The only one I’ve liked has been Charlie’s Angels the movie. 90210 has bombed so it seems kind of stupid to do Melrose as well.
