It appears Pete Wentz is truly enjoying his new role as father.

The self-admitted kid himself spent nearly an hour looking for the perfect toy for his little boy at Kidrobot on Melrose in West Hollywood on Thursday.

After great deliberation, the Fall Out Boy bassist left the shop proudly toting his purchase.

Meanwhile, no one ever said that saying you love your wife most for her boob was discrete sentiment to publicly air, but it does have a certain endearing ring of honesty about it.

When asked to name the favourite feature about his wife Ashlee Simpson, Pete tells E! Online, “I would start with the breasts.”

Nonetheless, Mr. Wentz is able to look beyond the family headlamps.

He goes on to say: “Ashlee is the kind of person that understands me in a way that other human beings don’t understand each other. I would say that we fit together kind of like Lego pieces, and that’s how we’re able to communicate. She’s always there for me, she always has my back no matter what,” Wentz says. “If I have to leave at 6 a.m. to go somewhere, she’s packing my bag for me. I’m like, ‘What are you doing up at 6 a.m.?’ and she’s packing my bag.”
