Rocking a $39.50 Sweater Vest, heartthrob crooner John Mayer stars in the new fall Gap ad campaign, called Classics Redefined.
The star-studded campaign features 12 black-and-white shots taken by none other than celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Each portrait is numbered to highlight 12 wardrobe essentials Gap thinks you’ll need this fall.
Other celebs in the campaign include funnygal Sarah Silverman in The Wide Leg Trouser ($49.50), Lucy Liu wearing a Little Black Sweater Dress ($59.50) and Ken Watanabe in The Tailored White Shirt ($39.50).
The photos will appear in the September issues of national magazines.

If you think John Mayer is “easy listening,” you obviously haven’t really listened to any of his current music. Or seen the Rolling Stone Guitar Gods issue with him on the cover. Insult his attractiveness all you want because that is obviously subjective, but there is really no denying his guitar talent.
Ya Waiting on the World to Change and Daughters are really rocking songs, almost threw my back out in the mosh pit. Rolling Stone is a corporate sell out - has been since the early 80s (Mariah on 4 covers should make that obvious) - I have no confidence in their opinion on anything musical.
Yeah, pointing out 2 mainstream songs from 2 separate albums proves nothing. The fact that John Frusciante and Derek Trucks were the other two guitar gods in that issue is pretty impressive, but I’m sure you have no idea who those guys are. Eric Clapton also agrees that JM is an amazing guitar player. End of story.
Eric Clapton is so washed up you should call him Tide and Trucks is just an Allman wannabe. John Frusciante I’ll give you because he is a genius even after years of heroin abuse, but he’s the exception, not the rule.

just saw JM in concert with a bunch full of guitar players and ‘guitar god’ fans. He WAS amazing… and i’ve seen a lot of concerts. His records are bluzy, but the concert alive and HOT, a lot of energy. Love seeing his face everywhere these days. I’ve become a follower.
I think he’s real. I don’t know what would make you people thing he’s fake. Sure he has been a slight sell-out being rumored to date Cameron, and I must agree Jessica was a whoa! for me, never thought she’d be his type. But thats his business. As long as he stays true to his music (which he has) I will forever be a fan. He’s my favorite musician. You can’t help but feel his presence leak through his music, and thats just cool in my book. Everything else is extra.
