Brad Pitt was on Larry King Live last night.
The 44-year-old actor opened up about his latest movie, his family and his efforts to help with the continuing Hurricane Katrina recovery in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Here are some highlights:
Brad on claiming he is a private person despite exclusive deals with People magazine and recent shots he took of Angelina Jolie breastfeeding in W magazine: Well, the pictures for W, you know, it’s a really strange feeling. It’s something Angie and I had to talk a lot about, especially with the birth of Shiloh. You know, these pictures were going to come out — they’re — these pictures are — I’m — you know, I’m talking about the pictures of the kids. That there’s a bounty on our heads. And these pictures are going to come out at some point. And they’re going to be chasing us and they’re going to — they’re going to go to the ends of the earth to get these photos. And we just thought well, maybe we could — since there’s such a bounty and that bounty is so obnoxious, we could — we could take that money and funnel it to something good. And that’s what we decided to do. It’s still — it’s still a bit uncomfortable to do such a thing, but I know it’s right in the end. And that was the decision we made. The W photos we just — we just didn’t want to leave the house, so we just figured we’d do it ourselves and had a good time doing it.”Brad on the twins: “Everyone is healthy, so we’re all happy. They’re getting heavy.”
Brad on the public’s fascination with his family: “I’ve stopped thinking about it, really. I mean, I don’t know. There are certainly people I’m interested in. It’s quite complimentary. But, you know — and I think it is an interesting family. It’s not your usual family.”
Brad on President-Elect Barack Obama: “Oh, man, I think overnight we have — we’ve redefined what America is about. I’m — I couldn’t be any happier and more hopeful for the — for America for the upcoming — in the upcoming years. And that team he just announced, I’m — I’m so impressed with.”
Brad on whether having kids keeps him young: “No, man. It wears you out. Are you kidding me? I’m aging fast.”
Brad on whether there is anything better than fatherhood: “Not for me, there’s not. No, not for me. Of course, I got to spend a few decades being idiotic and hell bent and solipsistic and everything else.”
Brad on how New Orleans brings his family a sense of normalcy: “Well, it’s just a place where we can actually walk on the streets. And it’s the community here. It’s the people here. It’s very kind, but they also, for some reason, do not feel like they have ownership in some way or something. They’re really respectful. And there’s nothing more than a wave and glad you’re here or — and let us go on our way. We’ve made some good friends here. It’s just really nice — I don’t know how to describe it better than that. It’s just a place for us to be.”

Wow he stuttered through that first answer a bit didn’t he? I understand why celebrities sell photos though, especially in the case where they put the money into their charities. At least it’s going somewhere worthwhile instead of to some paparazzi agency. At least that way they have some control over what gets put out there. There are already millions of photos out there for people to see of Brad and Ange and their family, why not some that they actually don’t mind people seeing? I really like Brad and I think he’s an intelligent guy and a great actor.
hahahhaa Angelina is forcing him to do all these things that he would normally never do. Brad is a good guy from a good family. Taking photos of his naked wife breastfeeding his kids and then selling them is NOT something he would do. He is soooo swayed by Angelina. Living life with blinders on. It’s really pathetic.

He sold that pic of his first wedding to PEOPLE magazine and a wedding is def. not something you need to sell. I can see why they sell the kids pix just to get the papzz away, but a wedding only happens once so there is no need to sell that pic.

The only reason why he might regret the W photoshoot is because most people thought his Photography skills SUCK and it’s one of Angelina Jolie’s worst photoshoots EVER!

they realised only one offical picture of the wedding to the media and didnt sell it for any price and up till today we have seen only one picture of the wedding
Lulu, does it matter how much money they got? releasing the pic was obviously for Publicity and it shows that BP is not against releasing personal photos for his own gain. Was Angelina there forcing him to release a private photo? what was the point? with kids the papz are eventually gonna get the pix and make money off of it. A wedding is different.

There are a lot of top celebs whose kids we’ve never seen. Paps didn’t chase Bono’s kids or Jon Bon Jovi’s and so on….. You can keep them out of sight if you want. He is so insincere person. He tries to give some excuse for pimping his kids.

Did you like how Brad and Angie tried to jump on the Obama band wagon, imagine they were in the crowd in Chargo for his acceptance speach. I heard Angie wanted to offer her support for Obama but in exchange for a high profile publicity but OBama said no thanks. Notice Angie did not come out in public for Obama…she wanted to be front and centre or else she wasn’t gonna do it.
