On the red carpet, the 27-year-old new mom said she’s navigating the “balancing act” she expected when she took on parenthood with her hubby, Jordan Bratman. “I wasn’t going to give up who I was before I had the baby,” Xtina said. “It’s important to stay true to that as an example — also for my son to find out what his goals are, what he’s passionate about doing, so it’s sort of leading by example in that sense,” she said. “It’s a tough thing. I had a moment leaving him today to get ready for tonight of missing him, but every working mom goes through it. They know what it feels like.”
The one-hour primetime special, which will air live tonight on CBS, will announce nominations in several top categories, feature performances by past Grammy winners and nominees, and will set the stage for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on February 8.
The show is hosted by the unusual pairing of two-time Grammy winner LL Cool J and Grammy nominee Taylor Swift. Performers include five-time Grammy winner Mariah Carey, five-time winner Celine Dion, six-time winner Foo Fighters, 14-time winner B.B. King and, of course, Xtina.
Five-time winner John Mayer is also slated to perform a one hour concert for the live audience after the television taping.
The special coincides with the grand opening of the Grammy Museum, and proceeds from the event benefit the Museum. Tickets to attend the live taping ranged from $50 to $500 while VIP Package seats were as high as $6000!!
Stay tuned for a list of this year’s nominees. Will Mimi cap off a disappointing year with a boatload of Grammy noms?

Wow I think for once Christina looks actually good and presentable!! No tranny make-up or clothes!
Taylor = white trash with a terrible voice
John = douchebag with a lot of talent
Christina = her best days are behind her
Christina looks great and her performance was amazing. Imagine a pop star actually capable of singing live.
im glad she cut thoes bangs! much better
john is so hot and so sexy and i love his music.
Oooohhh I think Christina looks really good!! Love the hair and makeup for a change and the dress is stunning!!
Christina was blessed with a damn good voice! Bitch can rock it!
John and BB freaking ROCKED ON!
John can so jam that thing!
Taylor, omg. At least she is a few that sing live……………..I have to give credit where credit is due.
But shit - she sucks
Christina actually looks hot for once .I really didn’t like those short ass bangs but there growing on me and i must admit she’s one of the few that can pull them off.Taylor bores me to tears
This is a odd look for her, I think her stylist should be fired.
#2 I very much doubt that Christina’s days are behind her. But we will have to wait and see, to me as logn as she got that voice she will always be singing. Glad she’s not dressed as a tranny though. I do agree with you’re other comments though!
I was waiting for Brenda Lee to walk on stage and bitch slap Taylor Swift for ruining her song. She sang live, but sucked, and really has no personality. The one saving grace of this entire show…no Kanye West.
Christina looks pretty here — even a short pixie ‘do would look really cute on her.
