Meanwhile, according to a former bodyguard for the couple, Tom Cruise has gone to extraordinary lengths to prevent his wife from talking to other men. The pressure is sometimes too much for Katie, who started crying in August when Tom made her cut her hair.
Says the insider: “Tom was the one who demanded Katie cut her hair. She cried when he made her do it.”
It doesn’t end there. The former employee says Tom keeps control of Katie by making sure the people paid to protect the star and her toddler also serve as spies for him. Adds the source: “Once, when Katie was talking to another male actor after performance in All My Sons, a guard came over and whisked her away. Tom doesn’t like Katie talking to other men, especially in public.”
And if you’ve noticed that Katie is often sans makeup, there’s good reason. “Tom hates Katie when she’s wearing makeup unless he’s with her,” says the snoop.

Don’t know if all this is true but it certainly would not surprise me…..
This probably isn’t true. But I was wondering why she opted for the whole ‘unsexy’ look… she is way too young to be looking like menopause is right around the corner!

It doesn’t surprise me…Katie seems VERY oppressed…..she is never smiling except for that manic snarling she does when old man troll cruise is in town….soon the truth will come out…she will snap like a brittle 95 year old boney hag that the troll has made this poor girl into……she will snap…oh yes, she will snap…..

she looks great with no make up and the haircut is cute…she doesn’t seem to look miserable to me, but who really knows.
Hate to say it, but I am impressed with her work ethic. It doesn’t seem there is any diva bullshit she arrives for work just like everyone else, every day when she is supposed to unlike so many others who complain all the time. I’ve slowly gotten used to them as a family, and if they are happy, who are we to judge. As long as Tom isn’t mentally abusing her like he has other people, I have no problems with them.
I hope this isn’t true — but a grain or two of it may explain some of her physical changes since marrying Tom. (Remember when they were first dating? — she was such a giggling, goofy, swet young girl so dazzled by star power — and just look at her now.) Big Difference.
It’s well-known that he is a control-freak about his press, his career and even taking his roles to the extreme — so why would he be different about his relationships? As for the Anon above who said she stays in the relationship because she wants to — Do you really think she has an option? Even if she got out, she would probably never again see that little girl she loves so much — how could she take on Tom and the Scientology behemoth? What a sad life for her.
