Less than 24 hours after attending the premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with leading lady Angelina Jolie, a shadowed Brad Pitt is seen boarding a private jet at the airport in New Orleans on Tuesday.
The 44-year-old actor appeared to be totally unaware of photographers snapping away as he and his family prepared to take off. It is perhaps snaps like these that have motivated Brad to urge the U.S. government to pass a law protecting celebrities and their families against the paparazzi.
Chatting with the Today show today, he said: “Let me be very blunt: I hate them. I hate these people. I don’t understand why they do that for a living. We’ve got to make a distinction between these people who photograph celebrities at events and people who climb over your walls or wear camouflage and call out your kids names as you’re trying to take them to school to see if they’ll look that way. I have no respect for these people. I do not like them. I don’t understand how they can live their lives that way. There should be laws against it. They should not be able to follow kids like this, but there’s not right now so that’s the way it is.”

Yeah, because my kids’ privacy is very important. That is why we sell pictures of our newborns, and sell our ‘private’ family pictures to magazine.
I agree with him. There is a point where it goes from taking pictures for their career at premieres and photoshoots and then it crosses over into the personal life and gets a little scary. Selling professional photographs of your children to a magazine is VERY different to the paparazzi yelling out at your kids while they are playing in the backyard or going to school. It’s a completely different environment. I love Brad and he’s never been one to court the paparazzi.
He doesn’t hate the paps. If he did would he take a pic of Angie’s exposed tit for W magazine? Or show her ass (which wasn’t even hers?). Come on now.

There’s a difference between him taking pictures of his kids in their home and strange men screaming a 3-year-old’s name on the street. It’s not just Brad and Angelina either - the crowds of paparazzi that surround the Cruises is insane, as well.

Either you pimp your kid or you don’t. You can’t have the cake and eat it. It’s nice to get millions from magazine photos, but then Brad shouldn’t complain about the public interest in the kids that’s not going to stop when they want. You can’t turn on/off it the way you want. Geez, these people have been long enough in the public eye to know that.
