HOLLYWOOD FETES SAM.JACK

Sharon Stone, Andy Garcia and Justin Timberlake were among the many stars who stepped out on Monday night to attend the 2008 American Cinematheque Awards honouring Samuel L. Jackson in Beverly Hills.

The 59-year-old big screen star was praised for “the obvious talent and commitment that he brings to each role which has resulted in what is arguably the highest total boxoffice gross of any actor in movie history.”

Show participants on hand included Jon Hamm, Denzel Washington, George Lucas, Vin Diesel, George Lopez and Kerry Washington.

Proceeds from the annual star-studded tribute fund the year-round community film programs of the American Cinematheque, the non-profit viewer-supported arts organization that preserves the historic 1922 Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard and the 1940 Aero Theatre on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, CA.

Previous recipients of the coveted honour have included actors Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Al Pacino, Denzel Washington, Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Travolta, Tom Cruise and director Steven Spielberg.

I wouldn’t go that far, he’s only handsome when he’s peforming. Otherwise he’s another random Joe. Kerry Washington looks beautiful as always.
Good on Samuel, he don’t look 59 though!

Samuel is a very good actor. I’ve loved him in every movie I’ve seen him in. Sharon Stone is just soo unrecognisable from her Basic Instinct days…she must have had a LOT of work done! I think Justin looks really really cute here as well!
