To no surprise, President-elect Barack Obama announced today that he has appointed former campaign rival Hillary Clinton as secretary of state.
What is surprising, however, is that Republican windbag and Hilary hater Rush Limbaugh has called Barack’s decision a “brilliant stroke.”
Why, you ask? Says Rush: “”You know the old phrase, ‘You keep your friends close and your enemies closer?’ How can she run for president in 2012? She’d have to run against the incumbent and be critical of him — the one who made her secretary of state.”

I wrote: If Obama and his supporters want our support, then they will need to earn it and the liberal idiots that wish to slam us for our views on this site alone only serve to further ensure that we will NEVER support their Dear Leader under ANY circumstances, including escalation into Afghanistan, another severe recession or depression, or, God forbid, another 9/11.
Now, I don’t remember Obama (”our troops are air-raiding villages and killing women and children”) and his supporters (Bush is worse than Hitler, Bush Lied- They Died, burning Bush in effigy, Calling Bush and Cheney “war criminals”, etc.) EVER allowing Bush to earn their support. And, unlike members of the Democratic Party, I HAVE always supported the troops.
My point is that Obama will have to EARN my support and, if his supporters continue to assault those, who have true disagreements with him based on ideology, then that job will be made even harder for Obama. Winning elections does not mean that a person is automatically entitled to the loyalty of those that disagree with him. No President-Elect has ever won 100% of the votes.
Patriotism is not silencing one’s dissent just because you are called upon by someone else, who has yet to be sworn into office. If he earns my support, I will give it to him even though I will never vote to re-elect him or to elect any Democrat. None of this should ever be read to support a specious argument that impugns MY Patriotism.
